Currently a principal with the company, Wines will assume the role on January 1, 2027. The appointment follows a competitive recruitment process that included both internal and external candidates.

Wines succeeds Glenn Sharrock, who is stepping down from the role as general manager to focus full-time on consulting as a senior principal with ITASCA Australia. The change gives clients more direct access to Sharrock's engineering and consulting expertise.

Wines brings more than two decades of industry experience to the role. Recognized for his extensive work supporting open-pit mining operations, he combines deep technical expertise with strategic leadership. In addition to his work as a principal with ITASCA Australia, he has served on the board of directors of ITASCA International, Inc., most recently as board chair. As general manager, he will build on the foundation Sharrock established and guide the company's growth, client service and technical leadership across the region.
